Should I pack my stuff or wait for the movers to do it?

Our movers will be more than happy to help you pack, but this is something that needs to be arranged in advance. So, when you contact us to set the moving date, let us know that you need packing service too. We offer high quality moving supplies at reasonable prices as well.

Question 2

How far in advance should I book movers?

Accepted Answer

The sooner the better – as soon as you decide to relocate, you should start looking for moving company to get you there. Family Affair offers last minute movers too, but your chances for a stress-free relocation are always higher when you book on time. Some two months in advance is usually enough for us to be able to offer you dates to choose from.

What if I need to change the moving date?

We understand that some circumstances may change your plans and we are ready to adapt. What we need from you is to give us a call as soon as you decide to change the date and our moving consultants will do their best to rearrange everything and give you the new date.

Are your movers trained to move pianos?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Family Affair Moving has crews specially trained to do this sort of relocation. Just let us know you need your piano moved and our movers will bring the moving supplies and necessary equipment to pack, load, transport, and unload it safely and smoothly!

Do you move pets too?

Accepted Answer

No. Animals are not allowed on board the moving truck. You will be the one keeping your furry or feathery friend company while our movers do their part of the job. Are there some items you Family Affair Moving will not move?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there are certain items that moving companies are not allowed to transport – explosives, flammables, poisons and other dangerous substances as well as food, oil, and liquid items.

Are my possessions safe during relocation?

Accepted Answer

Of course! Your furniture will be wrapped and protected by cushioned blankets. We also have packing supplies to protect the most sensitive items, so there is no need for you to worry. Give your trust to us and you will see that moving is easy when you hire professionals.
